PRAYER – Prayer is conversation with God-not just saying prayers, but speaking to the Lord from your heart and listening to Him in silence. Pray daily asking him to reveal His plan for you: "Here I am Lord; I come to do your will.
SACRAMENTS – Receiving the sacraments helps to open your heart to Jesus. Confession cleanses your soul and puts you in union with God. Communion the time to ask Jesus to show you his plan for you.
GOOD INFORMATION – It is impossible to discover your vocation without good information. Ask questions talk to the Vocation Director or your pastor. Go online to www.foryourvocation.org, then take what you have learned back to prayer.
THE BLESSED MOTHER – Mary is the ultimate example of openness to the will of God. Are you open to God's will for you? Pray to Mary to help you discover your vocation and have the courage to follow it.
GO ON RETREAT – One of the surest ways to discover God's plan for you is to enter into silence and prayer over an extended period. Miracles happen on retreat!
GET ADVICE – Don't try to discern your vocation alone. Talk to a priest, sister, brother or deacon you trust. When the time comes, you must act! Move in the direction your heart tells you, confident that God will never send you where His grace cannot sustain you!
